Dentist Appointments & World Peace
“Sometimes I feel like I'm living my life between dentist appointments.” - Something I shared with a friend.
I visit the dentist every six months, and each time I'm waiting to be examined I find myself reviewing the time in between appointments. I find this to be a peaceful experience.
During my appointment this week, the hygienist asked how my business was going. I love going to this dental office because they track on what I share at each visit. I only had to painfully answer the question, "Do you have kids?" once during my first appointment and for that I am most grateful.
I shared that I'd feverishly worked all weekend to launch a campaign for the United Nations Women's Peace & Humanitarian Fund, and that I was also coaching clients. That I was finding my rhythm with it all. She shared how her husband's entrepreneurial journey was all about that too - finding the flow and getting really good at boundaries.
Ah yes, boundaries. This whole journey has felt like a masterclass in boundaries. Some days I'm amazing at setting and sticking to them. And there are days I wouldn't give myself a passing grade. I've come a long way with boundaries over the years. I now know I am the one who crosses them. Hard yet powerful lesson to learn. How are you doing with boundaries these days?
